Nvidia Surpasses Tesla as Top Stock for Retail Investors in 2024

According to Odaily, recent statistics from financial data provider Vanda Research reveal that Nvidia has overtaken Tesla as the most purchased stock by retail investors this year. This marks the second consecutive year that a single stock's net purchases have surpassed those of the S&P 500 Index ETF, indicating continued investor interest in the tech stock bull market. Compared to the traditionally popular S&P 500 Index ETF, Nvidia's net inflow has nearly doubled this year, reaching $29.8 billion, which is almost nine times the amount in 2021. Marco Iachini, Senior Vice President at Vanda, noted that Nvidia has somewhat overshadowed Tesla due to its impressive price gains.
