Solana Co-Founder Defends Layer 1 Blockchain Advantages

According to Foresight News, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko has responded to a user's claim that Layer 2 solutions are faster, cheaper, and more secure than Layer 1 blockchains. Yakovenko argued that there is no reason to build Layer 2 solutions, as Layer 1 can be faster, cheaper, and more secure. He emphasized that Layer 1 blockchains do not slow down due to the gradual movement of the Layer 1 data availability stack and do not compromise security through complex fraud proofs and multi-signature upgrades.
