The Ministry of Education in Buenos Aires has joined forces with the ETH Kipu Foundation to bring Ethereum and blockchain technology into high school curriculums.
This pioneering initiative sets Argentina apart from other Latin American countries, aiming to provide students with skills for the evolving tech-driven economy.
Internships and Online Learning
Starting from 27th August, high school students will participate in internships focused on blockchain projects. Additionally, a new online course in Solidity, Ethereum's programming language, will be offered to 500 students aged 18 and older.
This course is designed to equip young Argentines with the ability to develop blockchain applications, potentially enhancing local business operations and contributing to the nation's economy.
Teacher Training
To ensure the program's success, the ETH Kipu Foundation will also train 30 teachers through a hybrid program centred on Ethereum and blockchain technology.
While there's no confirmation of the program expanding beyond Buenos Aires, the current efforts signify a major step towards embracing digital innovation in Argentina.
Paula D., co-founder of the ETH Kipu Foundation, expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, "By integrating Ethereum education into high schools, we’re not just teaching students about technology—we’re giving them the tools to shape the future."
