Telegram Surpasses 1 Billion Monthly Active Users, Ranks Second Globally

According to Odaily, Telegram founder Pavel Durov announced on his personal channel that the messaging app has reached over 1 billion monthly active users, making it the second-largest messaging application worldwide, following WhatsApp. Telegram's user engagement is also increasing, with users opening the app an average of 21 times per day and spending 41 minutes daily on the platform. Additionally, Telegram's revenue has seen significant growth, with profits reaching $547 million in 2024.
