According to official news, BNB Chain announced that its Layer 2 solution opBNB has increased its throughput to 10,000 TPS, doubling the previous 5,000 TPS. This performance improvement was achieved by increasing the block gas limit from 100M/s to 200M/s.
It is reported that the opBNB team has made a number of optimizations, including: improving the scheduling logic, removing the previous 600ms hard time limit, introducing L1 state prefetching and caching mechanisms, and reducing the L1 state retrieval time from more than 200ms to less than 10ms. Optimizing the block production process, including transaction execution caching and concurrent block submission. These improvements enable opBNB to better support high-performance applications such as trading dApps and blockchain games.
