CertiK tweeted to remind the crypto community to be vigilant against "ice phishing" scams, CertiK said that scammers will trick you into signing a license to use user assets. This type of scam is considered quite a threat in the Web3 world, as investors often need to sign permission for the DeFi agreements they interact with, which can be easily forged. CertiK advises investors to use the token approval tool to revoke permissions for addresses they do not recognize on blockchain explorer sites such as Etherscan. The theft of 14 BAYC NFTs that occurred on December 17th was an "ice phishing" scam, where an investor was persuaded to sign a transaction request disguised as a movie contract, which ultimately enabled the scammer to transfer all of the user's assets for a small amount. BAYC is selling itself.
