VanEck has slashed fees for its Bitcoin spot ETF to zero, applying to the first US$1.5B of funds in its Bitcoin Trust ETF until March 31, 2025. MicroStrategy has acquired an additional 12,000 Bitcoin, bringing its total holdings to 205,000 Bitcoin. The recent purchase was made at approximately US$68,477 per BTC. Crypto L1/L2: Ethereum has rolled out the Dencun upgrade on its mainnet, which introduces "blobs" aimed at reducing the cost of Layer-2 transactions, along with 8 other code updates. BNB Chain has introduced a rollup-as-a-service (“RaaS”) solution to support the development of Layer-2s in its ecosystem, offering cost-effective and no-code infrastructure for dApps to deploy custom rollups. Swell, a liquid restaking (“LRT”) protocol, collaborates with AltLayer and EigenDA to launch its own layer-2 restaked rollup built on Polygon CDK. Metis has launched an alpha version of its decentralized sequencer, marking a key step in its roadmap to decentralize its Layer-2 network infrastructure. According to Foresight News, Web3 wallet Zerion plans to launch the Layer2 network ZERO Network in late Q2 or early Q3 of this year. The ZERO Network aims to attract new wallet users by offering zero fees. Zerion also plans to collaborate with DApp developers to share the cost of subsidizing transactions. The company is currently working with unspecified partners.

According to BlockBeats, decentralized lending protocol zkSync ecosystem ZeroLend has announced the completion of a $3 million seed funding round at a valuation of $25 million. The round saw participation from investors including Momentum 6, Blockchain Founders Fund, Morning Star Ventures, Banter Capital, Newman Capital, dVdT, Transform Capital, Cypher Capital, Bison Fund, Ozaru Ventures, iAngels, Krypital, Genblock, viaBTC, GBV, and Asteroid Capital. ZeroLend is set to launch its native governance token, ZERO, in the first quarter of 2024. The protocol aims to provide a decentralized lending platform for users within the zkSync ecosystem, offering a secure and efficient solution for borrowing and lending digital assets.

According to Foresight News, Solana ecosystem protocol Analysoor announced that its first external minting will be postponed to February 21 at 20:00 Beijing time. As a commitment to the delay, the protocol's founders will donate 10,000 USDC to charity and burn 21,000 ZERO tokens. The official statement also mentioned that all codes, including smart contracts, geyser plugins, and algorithms, will be open-sourced tomorrow.
