Odaily Planet Daily News Walmart plans to allow customers to purchase physical versions of products in the House Flip virtual world.
Walmart plans to add new decorations from Mainstays and Better Homes and Gardens to House Flip so users can browse them virtually and then purchase physical versions.
Thomas Kang, general manager of Walmart Metaverse Commerce, said customers will be able to use Walmart accounts to purchase physical and virtual goods without leaving the virtual environment.
Walmart previously collaborated with game developer FUN-GI to develop House Flip and provide iOS and Android versions, allowing players to renovate and sell virtual houses.
Walmart has also entered the virtual fashion space with its clothing brand Scoop. According to VentureBeat, customers can equip virtual characters with virtual clothing on the Asian metaverse platform Zepeto. (The Block)
