According to Techcruch reports, eDAO, a company jointly incubated by Wal-Mart’s Indian e-commerce company Flipkart and Polygon, launched Flipverse, a Metaverse product. Flipverse has been launched on Flipkart’s Android app, aiming to provide users with a “gamified, interactive and immersive” experience. Users will be able to earn loyalty points "Supercoins" as well as digital collectibles from partner brands. Flipkart said brands including Puma, Noise, Nivea, Lavie, Tokyo Talkies, Campus, VIP, Ajmal Perfumes and Himalaya are partnering with it on the metaverse business. Foresight News previously reported that Bloomberg reported at the end of April that Wal-Mart’s company Flipkart India Pvt. established an internal innovation department called Flipkart Labs to explore how to expand to the Metaverse and Web3.
