Paradigm Reth: Ethereum Prague hard fork upgrade may be implemented on the test network in Q3 and on the main network before the end of the year

The Paradigm Reth team published an article "What will happen after the Ethereum Cancun (Cancun) hard fork?" to introduce its views on Prague. It is reported that Prague is the next Ethereum EL hard fork after Cancun, and the team’s “EL core development” plan in 2024. The Paradigm Reth team believes that the Prague hard fork upgrade is likely to be carried out on multiple Ethereum testnets in the third quarter of 2024 and on the mainnet before the end of the year. This upgrade should include: Staking-related EIPs such as EIP-7002 to support restaking and trustless staking pools; Standalone EVM changes; Paradigm Reth is willing to work with anyone wishing to conduct further research on Prague or other future EL hard forks Team player and willing to guide or provide suggestions on where to modify the Reth codebase. Paradigm Reth believes that the following EIPs should be given priority: 7002, 6110, 2537. Paradigm Reth is willing to support EIP-4844 (Maximum Blob Gas), but invites data people to collaborate with it on the topic; preparing to release a version supporting EIP-7547: includes lists to help make the base layer censorship resistant. Additionally, Paradigm Reth does not support the use of Verkle Tries in Prague, but the client team is starting work on it in Q2 2024 and is committed to releasing it in a mid/late 2025 Osaka release. Paradigm Reth does not believe that L1 execution gas limits or contract sizes should be increased, but Paradigm Reth invites data experts to collaborate to study its impact on the network. Paradigm Reth believes that wallet/account abstraction (AA) EIPs need more testing against each other to better understand the trade-off space. Paradigm Reth is willing to deploy multiple EIPs related to the account abstraction in the future if they are not mutually exclusive.
