Bybit Card, a subsidiary of cryptocurrency exchange Bybit, has announced the addition of Apple Pay, giving users a more secure and private way to buy cryptocurrencies on the Bybit app or website.
Starting today until 10am UTC on July 1, 2024, Bybit users will be able to purchase cryptocurrencies on the platform with over 20 fiat currencies without any fees. Users simply select their preferred crypto and payment fiat currency on Bybit and select Apple Pay as the payment method at checkout.
During this period, Bybit users can easily use Apple Pay to make transactions in the Bybit app or Safari browser on their iPhone, iPad or Mac devices without having to create an account or re-enter shipping and billing information.
All Apple Pay transactions require user authentication via Face ID, Touch ID or device passcode, and require a one-time dynamic security code to further ensure the security of the transaction.
Apple Pay is all about security and privacy. When users use credit or debit cards to pay with Apple Pay, the actual card number is not stored on the device or Apple's servers. Instead, the system assigns a unique device account number and encrypts and stores it in an industry-standard security chip, ensuring that the user's payment information is reliably protected.
