TRM Labs: Many of the crypto-ransomware attacks last year were led by Russian-speaking groups

According to a report released by TRM Labs on Thursday, Russia's rampant use of cryptocurrency for ransomware, drug trafficking, and sanctions evasion in 2023. In 2023, Russian-speaking ransomware gangs accounted for at least 69% of all crypto proceeds from ransomware, exceeding $500 million.
