According to PANews, Circle's official blog announced that Inco Network and Circle Research have jointly released a white paper introducing the 'Confidential ERC-20' framework. This framework aims to provide compliant privacy solutions for public blockchains by converting standard ERC-20 tokens into privacy-protected versions. Utilizing Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) technology, it conceals account balances and transaction amounts, ensuring user privacy while maintaining compliance.
The Confidential ERC-20 framework features encrypted balances and transfer amounts, authorized view permissions, and programmable transfer rules. It is designed for various applications, including supply chain payments, payroll distribution, and peer-to-peer payments.
