Moody's: RBA expected to remain on hold this week

Moody's Analytics said in a report that the Reserve Bank of Australia is likely to keep its policy unchanged at its November meeting. The official cash rate is currently 4.35%. Although the overall inflation rate has fallen from 3.8% in the June quarter to 2.8% in the September quarter, the core inflation rate is still uncomfortably above the central bank's target range of 2%-3%. December quarter inflation data will be released at the end of January.
