Floki Completes Charitable School Project in Nigeria

One of the pillars of the Floki project is charity. Everything the Floki Team does is dedicated to improving the world, whether through developments in crypto and the metaverse or “IRL” charitable giving. To that end, the Floki Team is excited to announce that the school project in Nigeria has been completed.

This state-of-the-art school, which was commissioned on Wednesday, May 18th 2022, will begin operating soon. The Floki Team has accomplished this development in partnership with the Tabitha Cumi Foundation, an NGO backed by the United Nations and the Embassy of Japan.

The Nigerian school is a perfect example of Floki being a force for good in our world according to Floki core team member B:

Floki Vikings Make a Real-World Impact

This new school is poised to make a major impact on Nigerian children local to the area. Per the press statement from the school:

“We are delighted to announce the completion, commissioning and handing over of LEA Kuchiko-Ija in Niger State to the Niger State Ministry of Education on 18th May 2022 to give the children in the community access to quality education in a conducive learning environment. This project was supported by the Floki Community and built by Tabitha Cumi Foundation.”

This state of the art facility features:

1. A fully furnished block of six classrooms and toilets
2. A fully equipped technical block with a computer room, well-stocked library, and administrative office
3. A well-equipped playground
4. A borehole
5. A fence and gatehouse

Numerous stakeholders attended the commissioning, including the Permanent Secretary Niger State Ministry of Education, the Tafa Area Council Chairman, representatives of the Federal Ministry of Education and FCT Universal Basic Education Board, and others.

Education Is at the Heart of “the People’s Crypto”

The Floki Team and community are committed to education, charity and a real-world impact to improve lives for generations to come. The Floki Team has plans to build further schools in Ghana, Laos and Guatemala.
