Elon Musk, the well-known entrepreneur behind Tesla and SpaceX, has invited Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris for an interview on X Spaces. This comes after Musk recently conducted a similar interview with her Republican rival, Donald Trump, which has attracted significant attention during the ongoing U.S. presidential campaign.
Musk’s Open Invitation
On 13 August, Musk took to X (formerly Twitter) to extend the invitation, stating, “Happy to host Kamala on an X Spaces too.” His invitation follows a discussion with Trump on the same platform, which was widely discussed across the nation.
Harris’s Response Awaited
Harris has not yet responded to Musk’s invitation, leaving her stance unclear. The crypto community is particularly interested in whether a potential interview with Harris might touch upon topics such as Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. This follows Trump’s interview, which notably did not address these subjects, despite high anticipation from the public.
Security Concerns During Trump’s Interview
It’s also worth mentioning that the platform X experienced a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack during Trump’s recent interview, raising concerns about the platform’s security. The conversation itself primarily focused on the U.S. economy and potential measures to improve it.
Musk’s efforts to engage with both political candidates through his platform are notable, but the lack of substantive discussion on critical issues such as cryptocurrency, especially in Trump’s interview, suggests missed opportunities for addressing key voter concerns.
