Trump's victory triggered a crypto investment boom, with $2.2 billion pouring into the market

Last week, digital asset investment products saw inflows of $2.2 billion. This reflects the broader market uptrend driven by Trump's victory in the US presidential election.

Inflows into digital asset markets peaked at $3 billion a few days ago, bringing total assets under management (AUM) to an all-time high of $138 billion.

BTC's record price performance during this period prompted outflows of approximately $866 million and net inflows of $2.2 billion.

According to CoinShares data, inflows totaled $11.7 billion since the rate cut in September. So far this year, inflows totaled $33.5 billion.

"The recent surge in activity appears to be driven by two factors: loose monetary policy and the Republican sweep in the recent US election," explained James Butterfill, head of research at CoinShares.

BTC's dominance remained strong, with inflows of $1.48 billion.

The large inflows are related to the outperformance of US spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) products, which continue to attract significant attention from both retail and institutional traders.

According to CoinShares data, BlackRock's IBIT and Fidelity's FBTC saw inflows of $2.1 billion and $4 million, respectively.

On the other hand, the Ark 21 Shares fund saw outflows of $153 million, surpassing Grayscale's outflows, which saw $108 million this week.

Meanwhile, BTC's record-breaking price performance above the $90,000 mark attracted bearish traders who invested $49 million in short BTC products.

In addition, bullish market sentiment also seems to have influenced people's interest in Ethereum, which also attracted a large inflow of US$646 million (equivalent to 5% of its AUM).

Butterfill linked this inflow of funds to the election results and the proposed Beam Chain network upgrade.
