Protocol Labs is an open-source R&D lab that builds protocols, tools, and services to radically improve the internet. Its products include InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), a peer-to-peer hypermedia protocol; Filecoin, a cryptocurrency-operated network for file storage; libp2p, a modular networking stack with peer-to-peer protocols and transports; IPLD, a decentralized web-data model that uses cryptographic hashes; and Multiformats, a collection of self-describing formats and protocols for upgradeable systems.
