Founder of Jupiter, Meow, to Speak at ABS 2024 in Taiwan

Meow, co-founder of the DeFi liquidity aggregator Jupiter on the Solana blockchain, is set to speak at the "2024 Asia Blockchain Summit" (ABS 2024) in Taiwan this August. His presence will shed light on blockchain and cryptocurrency's limitless possibilities.

Jupiter's Origins and Persistence

Jupiter was founded in October 2021 during the last phase of the crypto market boom. The market entered a bear phase in 2022, marred by significant setbacks such as the collapse of Luna, Three Arrows Capital, and FTX. Solana's ecosystem was heavily impacted, with SOL token prices plummeting. Despite the turmoil, Jupiter continued its development, unlike many projects that either disbanded or migrated to other blockchains.

In November 2023, as market sentiment improved, Jupiter announced its token issuance plan and distributed the first round of governance tokens, $JUP, to early users. By January 2024, Jupiter launched the Jupiter LFG Launchpad to assist Solana projects in issuing tokens, allowing the community to decide through $JUP governance votes.

GUM Initiative and Alliance Formation

On May 22, Jupiter launched the "Giant Unified Market" (GUM) initiative, expanding its liquidity aggregator role to include meme coins, real-world assets (RWA), stocks, and forex assets on the Solana blockchain. Jupiter aims to index these assets, enabling users to trade them seamlessly. The GUM initiative is backed by a top-tier alliance comprising the Solana Foundation, market makers like Wintermute, and DWF Labs.

Meow, before founding Jupiter, served as an advisor for Instadapp, Kyber, and Blockfolio and co-founded the prominent Wrapped token, wBTC. His extensive experience with various crypto projects underscored the importance of community.
