Glassnode data shows that Bitcoin hashrate (14-day moving average) reached an all-time high of 566 EH/s. Previously on February 2, Bitcoin mining difficulty was raised to 75.5 T.
In the past three weeks, Bitcoin hashrate has surged 12% since lows caused by a severe freeze in Texas, US. If computing power increases at this rate, the next mining difficulty adjustment (scheduled for around February 15) is expected to be raised by 7% to 12%.
According to data from Clarkmoody.com, increased computing power may bring forward the expected halving date (as of press time, April 19), and the Bitcoin network is approximately 10,629 blocks away from the halving. (CryptoSlate)
