Investcorp and Securitize Partner to Develop Fund Tokenization Opportunities

Alternative asset manager Investcorp and Securitize have signed a partnership to develop fund tokenization opportunities. The two companies will initially develop tokenized funds within Investcorp’s Strategic Capital Group (ISCG), which manages $1.5 billion in assets and was launched in 2019. ISCG specializes in acquiring minority stakes in alternative asset managers (GPs) and has established partnerships with mid-sized GPs across buyout, secondaries, structured equity, private credit and real asset strategies. The partnership allows qualified investors to take advantage of GP pledge strategies through Securitize’s tokenization technology and expand access to emerging private markets using the efficiencies of blockchain. Investcorp has previously been an active player in the cryptocurrency space. (CoinDesk)
